Position Title: Ambassador
Availability: Spring 2025 - Summer 2025
Duties and Responsibilities: Overview The Admissions Rambassadors at Thomas Jefferson University contribute to the success of student recruitment efforts creating a memorable and welcoming experience to prospective students and their guests in the Center City Campus Admissions Visit Center. Students in the Rambassador program are trained on campus tour delivery and will assist with marketing efforts that highlight the Jefferson student experience. Essential Functions • Customer Service: Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. • Telephone Communication: Conduct phone outreach to prospective students to confirm campus visit registration. • Visit Experience: Provide support by staffing the Admissions Visit Center front desk for in person information sessions, admissions interviews and events. Sit on student panels at admissions events to discuss the Jefferson student experience. • Campus Tours: Act as an Ambassador on behalf of the Office of Admissions by conducting campus tours for prospective students and guests. • Event/Visit Preparation: Assist with the preparation of interview, event and visit materials. • Social Media Management: Tell the student life story at Jefferson through our @JeffersonAdmissions and @JeffersonRambassadors Instagram Core Competencies • Service Excellence: provide exceptional service to our clients, including students, families, and fellow employees. • Collaboration: work effectively with others across the Jefferson community to achieve a common purpose and create value. • Ownership: take responsibility for achieving excellent results. • Respect: demonstrate a consistently open-minded, courteous, and compassionate approach to all. • Empowerment: take actions to control work and decision-making to affect positive outcomes. Position Location: This is an on-site position located on the Center City Campus.
