Position Title: Laboratory Aide (view pay rate/title summary)

Availability: Academic Year 2024-2025

Duties and Responsibilities: The position is for a dissection laboratory aide. The duties will include the following: (1)Repositioning human cadavers used in dissection courses between the cold storage facility and the actual dissection rooms for a variety of courses. This requires the ability to reach overhead. (2) Cleaning and maintenance of stainless steel dissection tables, instruments and tanks utilized in a variety of dissection courses. (3) Assisting with maintenance, tracking and usage of skeletal specimens and other organs and supplies utilized for practical examination and teaching purposes. (4) Assisting with additional duties as they arise in setting up and breaking down dissection rooms for a variety of dissection courses (i.e., include stocking of PPE materials, mixing of solutions and distribution of equipment.)
