Duties and Responsibilities: The Office of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives is seeking passionate and dedicated medical students to join our team as Teaching Assistants for the 2024 STEP-UP program. If you have a genuine interest in mentoring and teaching aspiring medical students, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. Responsibilities: 1. **Tutoring for the MCAT:** Guide fellow students through the intricacies of the MCAT, helping them excel in this crucial examination. 2. **Arranging Study Hall:** Foster a collaborative learning environment by organizing study sessions that promote effective study habits and mutual support. 3. **Teaching Clinical Skills Sessions:** Share your expertise by assisting in sessions focused on essential clinical skills, enhancing participants' practical knowledge. 4. **Mentorship Panels:** Engage in mentorship panels to provide valuable insights, guidance, and support to students navigating their medical education journey. 5. **Wellness Activities:** Contribute to the well-being of the medical student community by helping organize wellness activities that promote a healthy work-life balance. 6. **Writing Personal Statements:** Assist students in crafting compelling personal statements that reflect their unique qualities and aspirations. Requirements: - Enrolled in a medical program with a passion for mentorship and teaching. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated proficiency in MCAT content and clinical skills. - Be available June 1st to July 14th.
