Do you have dissertations/theses of Jefferson graduates? How do I find them?

Ph.D. theses of Jefferson graduates are catalogued and shelved on the 4th Floor of Scott Library with call numbers beginning with W4. Some dissertations are also available in the University Archives. Master's level theses are not required to be submitted to the library and are therefore best found by contacting the Graduate School. To find Ph.D. theses, you can search in our online catalog by the author name. You can also pull up the entire list of theses by searching the phrase "jefferson thesis" or jefferson and thesis as "words anywhere" in the record. More recent theses may also be in the Jefferson Digital Commons.

Another possible resource (although more unreliable) is the Proquest Dissertation Database. This database has dissertations from various universities. It is not required to submit a dissertation to UMI; thus you may or may not find the thesis you are looking for. Jefferson does not subscribe to this service, so you will have to register and purchase the dissertation as an individual.
