Q: What is KM’s body mass index (BMI) and weight classification?

A: This once cumbersome calculation can be easily performed with free programs for PDAs available at:
http://hin.nhlbi.nih.gov/bmi_palm.htm

Standard body mass index tables can also be used for this purpose (see Table 1).

According to the BMI table, KM has a BMI of 35, and would be classified as obese.
