The Jefferson Digital Commons has a great new series on medical notebooks. This collection will include medical notebooks consisting of lecture notes, clinical notes, and other notes penned by Jefferson medical students and physicians from the 18th through 20th centuries.

The first two entries in the collection are:

Notes on Practice of Medicine, from Prof. Da Costa’s Lectures, at The Jefferson Medical College, During Sessions of [18]84-85 and [18]85-86

And

Notes from a lecture on Midwifery by Dr. William Shippen, Jr. April 7, 1798; and Clinical Notes from the Pennsylvania Hospital, December 1799-February 1800
