Dr. Burk was an assistant professor of radiology at Jefferson from 1987-1981 and former faculty co-sponsor for Ars Medica. He is currently president of Healing Imager, Inc., specializing in musculoskeletal MRI teleradiology, hypnosis, acupuncture and EFT. The book talk will briefly cover his work on the national safety committee for MRI, his experience with alternative cancer therapies during his father’s illness, his use of hypnosis in the radiology department at Duke University Medical Center, and his practice of acupuncture and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), which combines both acupressure and hypnosis. Dr. Burk will also lead a brief experiential imagery exercise, review the table of contents to the book, and answer questions on a variety of topics.
