BioMed Central has partnered with OpenHelix, a provider of training on bioinformatics and genomics resources, to incorporate background and training tutorials in BMC journal content.

Now BMC journal articles offer links to web-based training on bioinformatics and genomics tools used or cited in research articles, thereby enhancing overall understanding of the content.

OpenHelix’s narrated online bioinformatics and genomics tutorial suites are expected to introduce readers to new tools, demonstrate new features and functionality and act as a reference tool.  Readers may also view PowerPoint tutorials and explanatory support text.
