New Guidelines for Authors of Scientific Papers
The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) recently published general editorial guidelines for authors and translators of scientific articles. The new guidelines are aimed to make international scientific communication more efficient, and to provide some basic structure and framework for beginning authors.
EASE’s introduction states: “If authors and translators follow these guidelines before submission, their manuscripts will be more likely to be accepted for publication. Moreover, the editorial process will probably be faster, so authors, translators, reviewers and editors will save time.”
EASE plans to add more appendices on specific subjects and also review all the recommendations annually in the future.
