What’s New in 17.2 provides a summary of the most important additions and changes to UpToDate content since the last release.   It is organized according to medical specialty.

The next meeting of the Book Club will be Thursday, September 24, from noon – 1:00 p.m. in Scott 200B.
The reading for this meeting is  Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel.
The novel is available from most bookstores and a free version is available online.   Of course, Wikipedia devotes an entire  entry to  it, too.

Elsevier and Cell have been working on a prototype of a new way to approach scientific article publication online.  It’s on display at http://beta.cell.com and they’re inviting YOUR suggestions for improvement.
It matters a lot because the results will be applied to the 2,000+ journals that are published by Elsevier in the sciences, technology and medicine.
