Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) has joined BioMed Central as a member. That means HHMI will now pay the article processing charges for all research published by HHMI investigators in BioMed Central journals. The funding will come out of a central HHMI publishing fund, rather than investigators’ grant funds.  The agreement takes effect September 1st, 2007.

Since January the Library has offered side-by-side access to MD Consult using 2 different login systems. Reference librarians have helped those who used the personal account features of the old system to move their settings to personal accounts in the new system.
As of August 16, links to MD Consult now automatically use the new system. [...]

Over 100,000 images in medical history, biomedical sciences and clinical medicine have been opened for free public access by the Wellcome Library (http://images.wellcome.ac.uk/).
