Howard Hughes Medical Institute Funds Publication in BioMed Central Journals

Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) has joined BioMed Central as a member.  That means HHMI will now pay the article processing charges for all research published by HHMI investigators in BioMed Central journals.  The funding will come out of a central HHMI publishing fund, rather than investigators’ grant funds.  The agreement takes effect September 1st, 2007. Wellcome Images in Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Medicine

Over 100,000 images in medical history, biomedical sciences and clinical medicine have been opened for free public access by the Wellcome Library (http://images.wellcome.ac.uk/).
