Ron P. Swegman, BARon Swegman is a Document Delivery Technician for Scott Library's Collection Management Department, preparing materials for loan to other libraries. He also provides bindery and repair support for the Library's collections.Interests & ExpertiseRon manages the binding of the library's periodicals for the permanent collection. He has a special interest in book repair and preservation techniques for circulating collections. Background & TrainingRon holds a BA in print journalism and the history of art from Penn State University. He has also received a post-bacculareate fellowship in newspaper design and typography from The Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, FL, and a certificate in book repair and preservation from PALINET, Pittsburgh, PA. He came to Jefferson in July, 1999, after 9 years at the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked first in the slide collection of the Fine Arts Library, and later, as a library service assistant at the University's Museum of Archeology and Anthropology.
