Wireless Service in the Library and Learning Resources Centers
Jeff-IT provides wireless access points on all four floors of Scott Memorial Library, and in the Edison LRC, among other campus locations. Wireless accounts are required for access, but are free to Jeffersonians. Wireless accounts are managed by Jeff-IT. Currently, the wireless service offers access to the Internet and other open applications such as JeffShare, JeffCal and JeffMail. Instant messaging (AIM, ICQ, MSN Instant Messenger), Telnet, SSH and FTP are also supported. Applications on the secure University network are accessible ONLY if you have Remote Access Portal privileges; the wireless network is part of the separate Academic & Research Network (ARN).
