Jeff-IT provides wireless access points on all four floors of Scott Memorial Library, and in the Jefferson Alumni Hall LRC and Open Access Classroom, among other campus locations. Wireless accounts
are required for access, but are free to Jeffersonians.
Wireless accounts are managed by Jeff-IT.
Currently, the wireless service offers access to the Internet
and other open applications such as JeffShare, JeffCal and JeffMail. Instant messaging
(AIM, ICQ, MSN Instant Messenger), Telnet, SSH and FTP are also supported.
Applications on the secure University network are accessible ONLY if you have Remote Access Portal privileges; the wireless network is part of the separate Academic & Research Network (ARN). Download the Jeff-IT wireless brochure for further information.
