Getting an Account

Two main email systems serve the Jefferson community. Both offer Web access from off-campus sites, as well as client access from your office desktop.

Email Client Software

Both University and Hospital email services offer Web-based access (via JeffMail for University and via the Remote Access Portal for Hospital), but a desktop client is recommended and supported:

Help for using Jefferson email accounts is available from several sources:

  • Online tips, FAQs, and setup information is available for the JeffNet system and for JeffMail.
  • Call the Jeff-IT Help Center at 215-503-7600 for assistance with getting an account, access problems, or quota problems.
  • Contact the Learning Resources Divison in Scott Library (215-503-8407, or send email to LRC@lists.jefferson.edu) for help with attachments, deleting & purging, and other application functions.

Jefferson's policy covers computers, email, and other forms of electronic communication.

It applies to ALL faculty and staff.
