DEAN'S REPORT: Dr. Desimone
Dr. Nasca’s last day will be December 11, 2007. In the meantime, there is a search for an Interim Dean. Dr. Desimone expressed that while this a “huge loss” for Jefferson, we should all be proud of Dr. Nasca’s new position and role in Resident Education. Also, Dr. Desimone feels that the students will not feel a big difference other then miss Dr. Nasca’s presence. An Official Goodbye Ceremony Event with students is currently being planned - more information will be made available later.
As far as the new building, the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be October 18, 2007, however, the building will not yet be finished inside. As of today, it is planned to be ready for use at the start of the New Year. So far, a few of the faculty, including Dr. Desimone, took a hard-hat tour of the building earlier in the year – she believes the building is looking promising.
