JMC Student Council Constitution

Article III - Membership

Section 1:

The student council shall be composed of students in the first-, second-, third-, and fourth-year classes of Jefferson Medical College.

Section 2: Voting Members

1. The executive officers of the student council: president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
2. The five equal representatives of each class.
3. The alternate representatives from each class if fewer than five representatives from that representative's class are present.

Section 3: Nonvoting Members

1. The alternate representative of each class, except when acting as a voting member as specified above.
2. The student representatives of each student/faculty committee.
3. The chairman or the representatives of each student council committee.
4. A representative from each student or campus organization.
5. The Dean of the Medical College or the Dean's representative.
6. A representative from the College of Health Professions and the College of Graduate Studies.

Section 4:

The Jefferson Medical College Student Council also encourages any members of the Thomas Jefferson University community to attend all meetings and voice any of their concerns to the council.
