Study Spaces

At Thomas Jefferson there is a strong commitment to provide a variety of research and study spaces for students and faculty members. Study spaces are available on all four floors of Scott Memorial Library, Jefferson Alumni Hall, and elsewhere on campus.

In the Library, the fourth floor is considered the quiet floor, while the first floor allows for more conversation. There are individual carrels, desks and tables on the second through fourth floors.

AISR's Learning Resource Department also oversees group study areas in the Jefferson Alumni Hall, and provides guides to study space elsewhere on campus. Pick up a brochure at any LR facility or the Reference Desk, or view it online:

At this time, the current Study Space Protocol is as outlined here. As Jefferson's academic and space needs continue to transition, this Protocol will be amended as required. We will distribute study space updates to all students via e-mail as they become available.

Several tables are available on the second floor of Scott Library for collaborative study.
