Database Search Services: One-Time Individual Search
Order a one-time search for:
- Convenience searches of Jefferson subscribed databases (e.g.,
MEDLINE, Scopus)
When you don't have time to perform your own searches on Jefferson
databases, request a search by library staff.
- Access to specialty databases from vendors
Scott librarians can access hundreds of databases on a broad spectrum
of topics through DIALOG, OCLC First Search, STN, and other major
database vendors. Librarians provide topical searching of the chemical
literature, patents, social sciences, biotechnology, business trends,
and more. Citation indexes are also available for cited reference
searching.
Fees
-
Consultation about your research needs and appropriate database
coverage is free. Request a consultation
online.
- Search services are provided on a cost-recovery basis. Fees include
the librarian's time and any online vendor charges incurred.
- Some databases are subsidized for TJU student, faculty and staff.
These databases are considered vital to the TJU mission but are too
expensive to provide in self-serve electronic format. They include
BIOSIS, Chemical Abstracts Online, the Science Citation Index and
the Social Sciences Citation Index.
