Document Delivery Services

Document ordering from Ovid

Ovid databases automatically allow you to order articles directly from a literature search. Any Jefferson student or employee is eligible to participate.
No registration is required.
Standard document delivery policies and fees apply.

Automated Requests: How It Works

  1. While reviewing citations from your Ovid search, check off the article(s) you wish to order.

  2. At the bottom of any citation display, use the Order Button in the Ovid Citation Manager to automatically forward your request to Scott Library:
  3. Ovid Citation Manager
  4. Complete the name and contact information when asked:
  5. Ovid Contact Information Page
  6. If an item requested is in our collection, we will copy the article and notify you via email within 24 hours of the time we receive your request (Monday through Friday).

Articles not owned by the library will be submitted to our interlibrary loan network and filled typically within 3-5 business days. You don't need to fill out any individual forms, and you don't have to determine whether or not the library owns the material.

Questions?

For questions regarding registration and document order status,  contact the Interlibrary Loan Department at 215-503-2831.

For questions on how to use PubMed and Loansome Doc to order articles, refer to our electronic handout, or contact the Scott Library Reference Desk (AskaLibrarian@jefferson.edu or 215-503-8150).
