Mediated-Access Databases
Some databases are too expensive to buy for self-service access,
yet are vital to support the TJU mission. As a substitute, the Information
Services Librarians will search such databases online for free or
at reduced rates for TJU students, faculty, and staff. The librarians
reserve the right to determine when such searches are appropriate
and what is the most effective search strategy.
Four databases are currently supported by AISR:
- Biological Abstracts
- Chemical Abstracts
- Science Citation Index
- Social Sciences Citation Index
