• Directory of Health and Human Services Data Resources (DHHS)
  This directory covers virtually all major federal data collection systems, including: Administration for Children & Families, Administration on Aging, CMS, Agency for Health Care Research and Quality, CDC, FDA, Health Resources and Services Administration, Indian Health Service, NIH, and Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration.
  
  
• DPDx: Laboratory Identification of Parasites of Public Health Concern (CDC)
  This database supports the identification of human parasites. It includes a library of pathology slides and illustrations of parasite life cycles.
  
  
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  This federal agency's function is to help safeguard the public and the environment from environmental hazards.  Many of the EPA's actions affect public health both directly and indirectly.  Federal environmental laws and regulations can be found on this site.
  
  
• Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
  This federal agency provides information on its Web site regarding community disasters, emergency personnel information, education and training materials, and news.  There is also access to a federal disasters archive starting in 1992.
  
  
• Healthy People 2010 (DHHS)
  HealthyPeople.gov is the Department of Health and Human Services' main community health menu, with links to projects, committees, Healthy People 2010, and other government health information sources.
  
  
• National Death Index (CDC)
  The CDC provides an online index of death record information on file in state vital statistics offices. Statistical information is included.
  
  
• National Health Services Corps (DHHS/HRSA)
  This agency assists underserved communities with the recruitment and retention of primary health care providers.
  
  
• Office of Minority Health (DHHS)
  OMH develops strategies to reduce health disparities among racial and ethic minorities in the United States.
  
  
• Toxics Release Inventory (EPA)
  The TRI covers toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities reported annually by certain industrial and government facilities.
  
  
• TOXMAP (NLM)
  TOXMAP uses U.S. maps for the visualization of data from the EPA's Toxics Release Inventory (TRI). The maps show the industrial and related sites that toxic chemicals are released in the environment.
  
  
• Traveler's Health (CDC)
  This is a resource for U.S. residents that are traveling outside of the county. Included are disease outbreak alerts, immunization information, food and water safety, information for special needs travels and those traveling with children, and air and cruise ship travel information.
