Do you work from home? Do you occasionally want to check something at the Library without leaving what you're working on? If so, the new JEFFLINE toolbar is for YOU.
The JEFFLINE toolbar is designed to load right into your desktop web browser so you can quickly search many popular JEFFLINE resources and access popular hospital and university web pages.
Download the toolbar (available for Internet Explorer (IE) and Firefox) and follow the online instructions. It should take only 2-3 minutes to install and start using the toolbar. The download is FREE and SAFE.
The toolbar will update itself when the Library makes changes in links or posts fresh news - you don't need to do anything to maintain it. You don't need to register or sign up for email notifications. You may also uninstall it or hide it at any time. No strings attached!
Search Feature
Jeffersonians may enter search terms in the search box and quickly search one of the following:
- Search Jefferson (jefferson.edu)
- ThomCat: the Library catalog
- E-journals list
- Search other library catalogs
- Access Medicine
- Community of Science (COS)
- Google Scholar
- ImagesMD
- Micromedex
- OVID Medline
- Psychiatry Online
- PubMed Scopus
Note that the toolbar is built for Jeffersonians, for whom the Library buys access to full text materials and databases. If you are working off campus, the toolbar will ask for your Campus Key before it lets you into some resources, but it will only ask once during your session.

Contact Information Services staff if you are interested in designing your own departmental toolbar: 215-503-8150 or email Askalibrarian@jefferson.edu.
System Requirements
- The toolbar can run on either Internet Explorer 5.0+ or Firefox 1.0.1+.
- Note: Some campus computer settings may not allow you to download and install the toolbar.
