Description: Nation Master is an Australian company that gathers data from a variety of international sources in order to present an easy-to-use graphical comparison of countries in a number of topic areas. Users may browse prepared country rankings, or select from more than 600 statistical variables available to create customized charts. While most statistics come from international agencies or organizations, such as the U.S. Census Bureau, CIA World Factbook, WHO, OECD and UNESCO, other sources include various think tanks, advocacy organizations, commercial entities, and, in one case, an individual with subject expertise. Sources for all facts and figures are cited, which researchers will especially appreciate. Note that there are some inconsistencies in providing statistical definitions for all data, not all countries appear in all data results, and some links are broken.
