The Cornell University Medical College Model: Computer Integration into Multimedia Labs

ABSTRACT

The presentation will illustrate and describe the multiple ways that Education Center computers are integrated into small group discussions, laboratory exercises, self assessment, exams, lectures and independent study. A description of the facilities and layout may assist other institutions that are currently struggling to manage computer resources. By being forced, due to space limitations, to put new computers in old labs, the Education Center has a very flexible model that can be used in multiple ways. This has improved the integration and utilization of computers in the curriculum and student life.
