Those unfamiliar with computers can use multimedia without having to install software. Barcodes readers, videodisc players, and monitors can add rapid retrieval of microscopy images to the traditional microanatomy laboratory. Handouts can be enhanced by the addition of barcodes (which can be simply xeroxed) to facilitate student use of this image, as well as the reference to glass slides.
