We have employed Internet Wide Hypertext and a transparent background Grateful Med application to produce a new type of full-text medical document. The document is viewed in digestible sections and points requiring amplification are followed by double-clicking on underlined words. This includes the references themselves which are hot linked in this fashion directly to the MEDLINE database at the National Library of Medicine.
