A demonstration of software which simulates an autonomic cardiovascular laboratory in pharmacology will be presented. The software was developed for the Macintosh computer using Hypercard. The effects of standard drugs-acetylcholine, norepinephrine, epinephrine and isoproterenol-on cardiovascular responses are obtained by the student and used to determine the drug class of four unknown pharmacological agents.
