PHMC offers orientation session this Wednesday, 6/3/09

Sign up for a free orientation to the Community Health Database (CHDB) to be provided by the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) this Wednesday, June 3, 9:30-11:30 am at their 260 S.  Broad Street location. Jefferson is a member organization of PHMC and as such this two-hour training session is free to all Jeffersonians. Space is limited so please RSVP early.

PHMC begins the 2008 Household Health Survey

The 2008 telephone survey is underway through the end of August. This year they become one of the only health surveys to target cell phone users, too. Listen to a feature on WHYY’s Morning Edition (mp3).

New this year (from the press release):

The 2008 survey will include some new topics/questions including: utilization of the A One C test among those with diabetes, patterns of sleep, healthcare/provider distrust scale, aging in place, utilization of glasses among children, physical activity, and housing and economic questions.

Preliminary results should be available around late October. Earlier survey data is available to Jefferson users on JEFFLINE.

Medicare Part D in Southeastern Pennsylvania
