A not-uncommon MEDLINE searching error is to search for a surgical specialty term to find articles about those procedures, e.g. Neurosurgery or Colorectal Surgery.
Check the scope note — these Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) terms refer to the surgical specialty, rather than the procedures. For more comprehensive results, try searching the disease term with the subheading surgery or anatomical term with surgical procedures subject headings, e.g.:
