Doing their part in the fight against the Swine Flu pandemic, UK-based CABI Global Health has made their “Swine Flu Dashboard” and indeed their entire international bibliographic public health database FREE –for a limited time only! The free access ends at the end of June 2009. Take advantage of it while you can!
CABI claims to be the most “international” resource for public health information with more foreign language coverage than other databases (such as Medline), extra strength in non-journal literature, and influenza coverage since 1910. Since it is produced in the UK, it favors British spelling; however, one should use both British and American spellings to be comprehensive.
For information after June 30th, don’t forget about our subscription database, GIDEON, available on EBSCOHOST. For additional useful links on Population/Public Health, see our various Jeffselects pages: Emerging Infectious Diseases ; Community and Public Health; or Statistics.
