RefWorks Tip:
Searching PubMed Within RefWorks

When searching an online catalog or database from within RefWorks avoid using commas or periods in a search strategy. RefWorks syntax needs to be exact in order for the searches to work correctly.

First, access Online Catalog or Database under the Search menu.

Searching for the author Rappaport E.B. in PubMed, do not enter periods or commas in separating the surname from the first initial. The name should be entered as: rappaport e b

Note the difference in search results for the following:

Rappaport e b = 37 hits
Rappaport, e.b.= no hits found
Rappaport, eb = no hits found
