If you have discovered Google Scholar there are two things you should know.
First, Jeffersonians should access Google Scholar via JEFFLINE. By linking via JEFFLINE, journals owned by the Scott Memorial Library will be indicated in the citation.
- Go to http://jeffline.jefferson.edu
- Under Core Resources, click on more databases!
- Click on G and proceed to Google Scholar for Jeffersonians
In Google Scholar click on Scholar Preferences and scroll to the bottom of the page until you reach Bibliography Manager. Select RefWorks and click on Save Preferences.
When you run a search in Google Scholar you will see links to Import into RefWorks and Check Library Holdings. When you click on Import into RefWorks, if you have logged into your RefWorks account, the record will be imported into a template that is editable. The Check Library Holdings link will indicate if Scott Memorial Library owns the item.
Keep in mind that Google Scholar is still in beta and it should never be the only online resource for your research!
