Dear Jeffersonian,
Don't forget: your institution is a BioMed Central member.
We wanted to remind you that, thanks to your institution's BioMed Central membership, you can reap all the benefits of publishing your research article in an Open Access journal without paying the usual article processing charge. This is true regardless of the number of articles you publish.
BioMed Central publishes over 100 online journals, across the whole spectrum of biology and medicine. For a full list, please go to our website.
When you submit your research to any of our journals, it will receive rigorous and rapid peer review. If your article is accepted:
- It will be published immediately on acceptance - getting your research to the right people faster
- It will be Open Access - immediately and permanently available for all to read and use without charge
- You retain the copyright of your work
- You will be able to view your article's access statistics, which average over 200 downloads per month per article
- Your articles will be securely and permanently archived in PubMed Central
By making the decision to become a BioMed Central member, your institution has shown significant support to Open Access publishing. Play your part by publishing your research with us, and enjoy the advantages that Open Access brings you as an author.
To find out who has already published with us from your institution, click here. Then simply click on the country where your institution is based and scroll down the alphabetical list to find your institution. Once there you can see a listing of all the publications in BioMed Central journals by researchers from your institution - and information on how to submit your research and ensure that your article joins them.
When submitting a manuscript, either via a journal home page or via our online submission system, you will be identified as belonging to a member institution and automatically granted an article processing charge waiver if you are within your institution's firewall. If you are at home or at an external terminal when submitting your paper, you can still claim a waiver by stating your affiliation to your institution.
More information about the benefits of publishing with BioMed Central is available on our website.
If you are interested in organizing a presentation at your institution about BioMed Central's journals and Open Access, please contact us.
We look forward to hearing from you, and to receiving your submitted manuscripts. Many thanks for your continuing support.
With best wishes,
The BioMed Central Editorial Team
