Science.gov:
Gateway to Government Science Information

Science.gov is an interagency initiative of 17 U.S. government organizations within 12 Federal agencies. The site offers free (no registration) access to 47 million pages of science and technology information from 30 databases and 1700 Web sites. Among the participants are the EPA, NASA and the National Science Foundation.

You may search all Science.gov resources simultaneously or limit your search to a specific topic or Web site.

Recent enhancements to the site include advanced searching capabilities and real-time relevancy ranking.

Unlike traditional search engines Science.gov goes beyond the surface and offers "Deep web" searching.
