Scott Library Bluemle Visit Raffle Winner

Judith Verdone, Research Assistant at the Kimmel Cancer Center, won a $10 WaWa gift certificate in a raffle sponsored by Scott Library Deputy University Librarian Debbie Sibley.

The raffle was part of a visit by Scott Library and AISR Education Services staff to answer questions on-site and promote new electronic resources for researchers.

The new electronic resources, which will be described in more depth elsewhere in the JEFFLINE Forum, include:

  • Journals: Science Online, Cancer Cell, Current Biology, Developmental Cell, Structure, and the Nature Reviews: Cancer, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Cell Biology, and Neuroscience

  • Scientific current awareness product: Faculty of 1,000

  • Protocol manuals: Current Protocols in Human Genetics Online, Current Protocols in Immunology Online, Current Protocols in Molecular Biology Online

  • Electronic textbooks from AccessLange: Brooks/Medical Microbiology, 22/e, Chandrasoma/Concise Pathology, 3/e, Ganong/Review of Medical Physiology, 20/e, Greenberg/Medical Epidemiology, 3/e, Junqueira/Basic Histology, 9/3, Katzung/Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, 8/e, McPhee/Pathophysiology of Disease, 3/e, Murray/Harper's Biochemistry, 25/e, Waxman/Correlative Neuroanatomy, 24/e, and Wilson/Histology Image Review, 1/e.

The event followed an earlier visit to Jefferson Alumni Hall. The team is planning a July visit to the Atrium to promote new clinical resources and to answer questions.
