AISR is pleased to introduce the Jefferson Multimedia Database, a new resource designed to help faculty:
- locate teaching images and other media resources developed at Jefferson
- share their instructional materials with others on campus
- incorporate multimedia resources into instructional activities
The database is available to all Jefferson University and Jefferson University Hospital faculty, staff, and students and can be found on the Web at: http://jeffline.jefferson.edu/jmd.html
The search results screen includes a descriptions and "thumbnail" displays of the items meeting your search criteria:
Clicking on a title in the search results list will display the full record for that item.
The initial release of the JMD consists primarily of patient photographs collected by James S. Studdiford, III, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine. Designed to help teach physical diagnosis, these photographs have been enhanced with rich descriptions provided by JMC fourth-year student, Robert W. Malizia.
The Jefferson Multimedia Database was designed to include animations, video, sound files, diagnostic images, and other media resources. Relevant collections are being sought for inclusion.
Faculty interested in contributing their own content to the database should contact Dr. Tony Frisby, Director Education Services, for details. (Tony.Frisby@jefferson.edu or 5-4990)
