The Cyber Café Has More Than
E-Journals On The Menu

It is widely known that the Cyber Café is JEFFLINE’s portal for Scott Library’s electronic journal collection of over 1,000 titles. Did you know, however, that the Café also serves up a rich and varied selection of electronic books?

You can choose from the classic texts Harrison’s Online and Hurst’s The Heart Online or over forty titles in MDConsult, representing a broad spectrum of medical disciplines and including such titles as Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics and Robbins Pathologic Basis of Disease.

Stat! Ref provides a searchable set of 13 clinical books, including six of the popular Current Diagnosis & Treatment titles, as well as the DSM-IV-TR and four nursing titles.

Also on the menu are:

  • The Cancer Handbook, a Nature publication, offers 100 updated peer-reviewed chapters providing scientific and clinical information on cancer biology and medicine.
  • Metabolic and Molecular Basis of Inherited Disease, which, in addition to the searchable text of the 8th edition, includes e-only content on cancer, a drug database, and news updates.

So, the next time you’re hungry for information, here’s a tip. Stop by the Cyber Café, day or night, for almost 60 flavors of nourishing, carb-free choices from the Books link.
