AISR Education Services and the JMC Office of Faculty Affairs are turning several of the popular "on-campus" faculty development sessions into self-directed learning modules you can take online at your own time and convenience. Just like the on-campus sessions, these modules include the option for JMC faculty to receive CME credit for completing them.
The first module, Adult Learning Theory, was developed by Dr. J. Lindsey Lane and converted into a self-paced tutorial by AISR Education Services and Medical Media Services. (Team members included: Chris Braster, Sean Dyer, Cyndy Kryder, Liz Mikita and Tony Frisby.)
The modules are developed using a Macromedia product that may require you to add a browser "plug-in" in order for them to display properly. Most computers on campus will already have this free plug-in installed. If, however, yours does not, it is very easy to download and install.
These interactive modules are short enough to complete in about one hour and they include periodic questions to test your knowledge.
To access these modules, go to the JMC Medical College Faculty Development website. Developed by the JMC Office of Faculty Affairs, these modules are open to all Jefferson faculty.
