Every university wrestles with the challenge of keeping its community informed about what's happening around campus. That's why AISR developed a screen saver for the library's computers that highlights campus events. While waiting for the elevator, or getting a drink of water, you may have noticed these flashing messages about AISR workshops, Black History month events, special lectures and presentations, etc.
Working with editors of JeffNEWs, we've selected events of interest to the general community. If your department has events that others on campus would be interested in knowing about, please contact me. I can provide the format for submitting the events you would like to have included on the screen saver program.
If you would like to install the screen saver program on your own desktop PC (Windows only I'm afraid) easy to follow instructions are below.
- Go to: http://jeffline.tju.edu/aisr/active-channel/
- Click the Add Channel button
- If you're asked to overwrite the old JEFFLINE channel, click Yes
- Go to the Display control panel
- Click the Screen Saver tab
- Select the Channel Screen Saver
- Click Settings
- Select JEFFLINE
- Click OK
- Click Apply and then click OK
