Self-Assessment Program

12th edition

Internal Medicine's leading form of self-assessment education is now available to you at no charge. AISR is sponsoring a 6-month trial evaluation of a pilot version of MKSAP 12 Online, the popular program produced by the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine (ACP-ASIM). All that ACP-ASIM is asking in return is that you fill out a survey that will help develop a permanent online version of MKSAP.

Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital faculty, staff and students interested in using the program during the 6-month trial may do so from any campus computer. All the access is domain-restricted, so you must be on campus to use this resource. You must also create a personal account on the system; but remember that there is no charge to do this, and you can pick your own username and password. (We encourage you to use your campus key whenever possible, since it will be easier to remember.)

MKSAP, the leading source of self-assessment education in internal medicine, has been used by nearly 500,000 physicians during the past 34 years. The program's learning objectives are to assess the current state of your medical knowledge, compare your performance on the self-assessment tests with that of your peers, update your knowledge in 13 key areas of internal medicine, apply new clinical problem-solving skills to improve the health of your patients, and pursue further in-depth study using critically reviewed evidence-based references.

MKSAP 12 is organized into the following sections: Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Infectious Disease Medicine, Rheumatology, Oncology, Hematology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Hospital-Based Medicine and Critical Care, and Ambulatory Medicine.

Features of the program include:
