LRC Tip of the Month

Q: How do I open attachments in my student email account ([username]@jefferson.edu)?

A: Click on the diskette icon following the file description.

If you have never opened attachments in this account before, you will receive the File Download dialog box below:

If you select:

Open - the file will open (but this will not save a copy to your computer). This is the default.
Save - the file will be saved to the location of your choice (where you can open it any time.)

NOTE: If "Always ask before opening this type of file" is checked, you will receive this dialog box every time you open an attachment with this file extension (e.g., .doc, .pdf). If the box is unchecked these files will open automatically in the future.
