A New Look for JEFFLINE QuickViews
You can't always have a librarian standing over your shoulder.

JEFFLINE QuickViews are a series of brochures introducing users to JEFFLINE databases. AISR Education Services is unveiling a new look and philosophy for these publications, along with a plan to make them more widely available. The old trifold QuickViews are being replaced with double-sided sheets in full color. Our new color printer allows us to produce a glossier product and include screen images, as you would see them on JEFFLINE.

Copies of the new QuickViews will be available in Scott Library's Reference area and Learning Resources Center. In addition, they'll also be available in PDF format on the Electronic Helpaids page of JEFFLINE, so you can read them online or print them. New PDFs will be added as we continue to revise topics in the series.

Our goal is to highlight the variety of databases available through JEFFLINE, and the new QuickViews are designed to provide a "getting started" level of help. Each document will also include links or references to available resources offering a higher level of support. The quality and quantity of vendor-created documentation and interactive HELP varies from database to database. Where necessary, we plan to supplement the QuickViews with online tutorials.

We welcome your feedback on the new documents and your suggestions for additional QuickViews or tutorial topics.
