PDA Travel Charger

Do you need your PDA when you travel? Do you need to recharge your battery before you can get to a sync station?

A portable charger might give you the freedom to forget about battery life. You can recharge your battery anytime, without needing to sync up, using a handy device that won't weigh you down.

For users of the Palm m130, i705 and m500 series, the Palm Travel Charger is available ($35-45, price varies by vendor). It can handle all voltages and frequencies in the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Australia, adjusting automatically, as needed.

The Palm Travel Charger won't take up much space in your briefcase or suitcase, either. The design is slim and lightweight--unlike some of the adapters you find on the market for other personal devices. The designers of this unit bore in mind the reason we're all enthusiastic about our PDAs in the first place; it's small enough to carry in my purse and never notice the additional weight.

As an added convenience, the Travel Charger comes with a travel bag for carrying and storage. It keeps the cord from tangling with whatever else might be in that purse (but, we had better not go there).

The Palm Travel Charger is sold in the accessories section of many PDA sites, as well as at Amazon.com. Do shop around for this, since prices vary by vendor, and occasional sales or promotions can get you a nice discount.
