New Dell laptop computers, with Microsoft Office 2000 and wireless cards, are now available to check out from the Learning Resources Center (LRC). 
The Latitude L400 computers may be used ONLY in the Scott Memorial Library. Once Jeff IT activates wireless service, the laptop computers will provide access to the Internet from anywhere within the Library.
To check out a laptop computer you will need your Jefferson photo ID card, which will be held in the LRC until you return the computer. In addition, you will be required to sign an agreement stating that you understand the policies for use of the laptop computers.
When you return the computer to the LRC you will need to wait while the LRC staff member verifies that the computer is in the same condition as when you checked it out.
