Attracting postdoctoral fellows is a challenge. One little known tool is the Community of Science Funding Opportunities database. Postdoctoral fellowship openings can be promoted in the database at no charge.
COS Funding Opportunities is the most comprehensive source of funding information available on the Web, with more than 23,000 records. Over 400,000 researchers and students have access to the database internationally. Besides grant opportunities, the database contains notices of scholarships, postdoctoral awards, and fellowships. A recent search found over 400 postdoctoral fellowships in the database.
If you would like a postdoctoral position promoted in COS, once the PAR has been approved, please contact Patti Starr in the Office of Employee Selection and Placement. She will submit the position to COS, ensuring that the description meets TJU employment advertising guidelines. COS editors will verify all information provided.
If you would like, Human Resources will screen the applicants by naming Patti Starr as the application contact. She also can track whether applicants are using COS to identify opportunities. Alternatively, you may have applicants contact you directly.
If you have further questions about promoting postdoctoral fellowship positions, please contact Patti Starr (215-503-2734 Patti.Starr@mail.tju.edu).
