The Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs has a medical license verification database.
Users can search either a facility or a person. When searching for a person, wildcards (*) can be used. For example, if you typed s* it will display all the names starting with 's'. If you entered *s* then you would get all names that have an 's' in the name.
The search results give four columns: name, profession, license type and license number.

When you click on the license number you get the following information: holder of the license, including address, employer, date the license was first issued, date it expired (if applicable), current status, and why disciplinary action was taken against the license holder.
