Come take a tour of the Scott Memorial Library along with a guided tour of JEFFLINE. Learn how to sign up for a JEFFLINE username and password and find out about all the knowledge-based resources available to you as a member of the Jefferson community. Attendees will learn how to access and use THOMCAT (the library catalog), OVID, and MDConsult.

Register to learn about the electronic books, journals and other resource collections that are available through JEFFLINE. Learn how to search STAT!REF (nine core clinical books and Stedman's Medical Dictionary), Harrison's Online (internal medicine text) and Web of Science (Science Citation Index). Attendees will also learn to search Lippincott's Nursing Drug Guide and A Manual of Laboratory Diagnostic Tests.

This workshop will focus on the elements of creating visually effective presentations. Issues related to word, table, chart, and graph slides, in addition to color and font selection, will be discussed. Also discussed will be the basics of creating PowerPoint presentations for both on-screen and 35mm slide presentations.

Digital Image Processing for Presentations

This workshop deals with basic issues related to the acquisition and manipulation of digital image files for use in on-screen presentations or output to various devices, such as: film recorders, inkjet printers, laser printers, high-quality photographic printers and more. Learn the correct ways to use flatbed and slide scanners and digital cameras. Input or acquisition resolution versus output resolution will also be addressed.
