It's been a long time coming, but there is finally a version of BrainStorm for the Windows operating system. BrainStorm is an extremely popular software title this time of year with the JMC students for NeuroAnatomy, as well as CHP Students all year round.
Currently we have BrainStorm installed on all the PCs in the LRC and in the Jeff Hall lab. As of the writing of this column, BrainStorm was being installed on the 4th floor with plans for it to be installed on the 1st floor computers very soon.
With BrainStorm you can test yourself on a variety of Neuroanatomy topics, and when you exit the quiz you'll receive a score on how well you did.

One of the components that I'm not sure many students realize is that you can often times change the view of the image you are looking at. Whenever you see the following image on the right hand side, you can re-orient the image of the brain by clicking on any white arrow.

On a closing note, we ask that when you exit BrainStorm to use the EXIT panel in the program rather than the close box in the upper right corner. This makes the closing process cleaner and more efficient.
Well, that's it for this month. Here's hoping that everyone has a healthy and happy summer!
